Key Responsibilities
- Establishing new, and maintaining existing customer relationships
- Ongoing identification of new business opportunities within the UK and internationally
- Resolving client challenges and problems; always with a focus on safety; high customer focus and service
- Articulate and professionally deliver (via the most appropriate communication mechanism) PTC information
- Active involvement in the consistent maintenance and update of appropriate PTC systems which support sales and marketing
- Participate in sales activities eg quotes, tender preparation, bids and proposals.
- Participate in sales and marketing events such shows and conferences
- Ensure customer satisfaction by effectively and efficiently handling of customer complaints or concerns
- Participate in budget forecasting
- Participate in post job meetings
- Liaising with other sales team members as well as PTC technical experts
- Utilising client feedback provide assistance to PTC engineering with the ongoing development of PTC equipment
- Required to keep current with respect to the activities of competitors
- Required to be able to influence client purchasing decisions where legal and possible to favourably position PTC and its products prior to receiving a formal enquiry
- To comply with HSE rules and regulations, and follow the PTC Business Management System required in all areas of work.
- Performs all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in work area (PTC Observation card system). Proactively pursues and recommends safe work practices/procedures. Practices good housekeeping in work areas.
Qualifications
- Mechanical or engineering qualification (preferred)
- Oil and gas industry experience, specifically working in the offshore environment (preferred)
- Able to demonstrate a consistently successful track record in sales (lead generation and orders placed) (essential)
- Computer literate
